We offer unique, self-catering accommodation within the luxury of Zeekoepan Private Game Reserve, home to an abundance of wildlife. Our exclusive game drives, promises the opportunity to experience the untamed wildlife of Africa. Ndlovukazi River Lodge and Chalets nestle in the shade of indigenous trees overlooking the banks of the Mkuze River. Zeekoepan Private Game Reserve is situated near Pongola, in the heart of beautiful Kwa-Zulu Natal, just about where the Elephant Coast meets Zululand.

  • One Game Drive is included in each night of your non-business travel booking.
  • Please note that no private vehicles are allowed to drive on the reserve.
  • Duration of the Activity is roughly 3 hours.
  • Unlike most reserves, we welcome children on drive.
  • Feel free to pack your own Cooler box and snacks for the drives.
  • In case of bad weather, please bring your own raincoats and blankets.
  • As we are dealing with wild animals, please adhere to all safety rules, while on drive

Zeekoepan River Lodge and Chalets rest on the banks of the meandering Mkuze River, that runs like a vein through our Private Game Reserve, giving life to the abundance of wildlife.

The main lodge is cloaked by an old White Stink Wood tree that brings about a calm atmosphere. This 3 bedroom lodge is ideal for families and friends looking to spend some quality time together.

Our stand alone river Chalets, offers a private and luxurious escape to peace and tranquility. Chalet 1 and 2 sleeps 2 persons, while chalet 3, with loft room, can host 4 persons. Sleeper couches available for children in all chalets.

The variety of vegetation and regions, makes Zeekoepan one of the best places to visit, if you want to experience birdlife in abundance. With over 350 species, calling Zululand home, you will not leave disappointed.

Sharing the area with predators, raptors are plentiful. Over 10 species of eagles and multiple Vulture species have been recorded. Some of the species include, Osprey, Fish Eagle, Lappet faced Vulture, Bateleur, Martial and Tawny eagle, only to mention a few
